Terms & giveaway rules

1. The waitlist

• The Founding Riders waitlist is free and open to people aged 18+ in India.
• Joining does not guarantee beta access or any date. We invite riders in waves at our discretion, generally by queue position, city and Founding Captain crews.
• One entry per person. Duplicate, fake or automated entries may be removed.
• Founding Rider numbers are assigned in signup order and are not transferable. Numbers #0001–#0010 are held by the founders and first testers.
• Features described on this site marked "Coming in beta" or "Coming at launch" are plans, not promises; they may change.

2. Referrals

• Verified referrals improve your chances of an earlier beta invite. They don't guarantee a place or a date, and we may change how invites are prioritised for everyone.
• A referral is verified when the new rider is a real, unique person who passes our anti-spam checks. Self-referrals, fake accounts, disposable emails and automated sign-ups do not count.
• We may cap how many referrals count per day and review unusual activity. We may void referrals and adjust priority where we find abuse.
• Share your link responsibly: no spam, no misleading claims, no posting where it isn't allowed.

3. Founding Captains

• Applications are reviewed by MotoWave; approval is at our discretion.
• Perks (priority access, badge, community access, crew kit) are non-monetary and may change. There is no fee and no obligation.
• If your crew's rides are featured in our content, we'll ask for permission first.

4. Monthly headset giveaway

• Organiser: MotoWave, contact hello@motowave.in.
• Periods: each calendar month from October 2026 to January 2027 (IST).
• Eligibility: waitlist members aged 18+ living in India, with a confirmed email address or membership of the MotoWave WhatsApp community. MotoWave founders and their families are not eligible.
• No purchase necessary. Entry is by joining the waitlist; this is not a lottery or lucky draw.
• How winners are chosen: the three members with the most verified referrals during the month win. Ties are decided by who reached the tied count first.
• Prize: one Bluetooth helmet headset each (model chosen by MotoWave; no cash alternative). The prize is bought at retail; no headset brand sponsors or endorses this giveaway unless stated.
• Verification: we review winners' referrals for fraud before announcing. We may disqualify entries that break these rules.
• Announcement: within 10 days of month end, by first name and city only, with the winner's consent. Winners have 14 days to reply with delivery details, or we pick the next eligible member.
• Taxes: any applicable taxes are handled as required by law.

5. Acceptable use

Don't attack, scrape or overload the site, or try to manipulate the waitlist. We may block access for abuse.

6. Safety

Content on this site is general information. Always ride within the law, wear full protective gear, and never use a handheld phone while riding. MotoWave's safety features alert people you choose; they are not a replacement for emergency services (dial 112).

7. Liability

The site and waitlist are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, MotoWave is not liable for indirect losses arising from their use.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update these terms and will note the date above. Giveaway rules for a month in progress won't change to your disadvantage.
